I'm not really a Festool guy (we'll - not yet), but, I love the sanders. I picked up this sander on Oct. 1st and gave it a good workout the past couple of weeks. I'm a hobbyist working on a large kitchen remodel that includes around 60 frame/panel doors & end-caps. My tool budget it tight but after struggling trying to sand 2-1/2" rails/stiles w/o hitting my ogee raised panels was a challenge with my 150 sanders. The 90 with the stiff pad was perfect. I also used the 90 on aggressive mode to flatten out the occasional cope-stick joint that had a slight step & for flattening out edge joined panel joints. It wasn't my intent but I was also able to use the 90 to sand the raised panel ogee profile. I did find the thick backed Rubin didn't flex well and the abrasive tended to break off but the Brilliant worked great. It was suggested to use Granat - may have to give it a try. One thing I didn't notice that I read in some reviews was excessive heat. My 90 runs as cool as my 150/3 and RO150.
