Stupid question of the day, week and perhaps month--is the price of the RO90 a special introductory price, or are introductory prices a thing of the past?

Regards,

John

There is no introductory discount like Festool did up until around 2007-ish. I don't foresee that coming back. Probably not the answer you wanted.

Thank you, Shane!  I would have been happy to get an accurate answer either way, but believe it or not, the answer you gave works better for me.  Probably not what FestoolUSA wants to hear, but I'll get around to buying it sooner or later.

Regards,

John

this is the problem they have now. if they gave you a pound off or threw in a heap of sand paper you would buy it before the offer stoped and they would have the sale and the demand for consumables. by not offering this they lose out

They probably would sell more at an introductory price. Years ago, I used to buy the new tools from Bridge City just because I would buy them eventually so I might as well save a few dollars at get them when they were on sale. It also would depend on the discount, $25 off a $400 tool wouldn't make me buy now.

I heard that they had trouble keeping up with the initial demand as it was. When I was in business, that was a sign that I had probably set my price too low.  [big grin]

BTW, I love my RO 90, a well thought out and designed tool.

John, you're right. We're still having trouble keeping up with demand. Maybe we need an introductory price increase.  [huh]

John, look at this way.  Sure, this is the introductory price, next year, after the price increase, it will cost more..... [big grin]
