RO 90 stuck in delta mode

Just purchased a Rotex RO90 DX FEQ and sanded for about 10 min, was working fine and the switch would change to all three modes.
I then attached the delta sanding pad and worked it for a bit.
Then when I changed back to the regular sanding pad the switch will only stay in the delta mode.
Is there something I am doing wrong??

You need to slightly depress the knob while turning counterclockwise.

Well, I give up. Possibly a defective switch. Are you able to swap it with your dealer?

Did you try turning the pad by hand? Mine has gotten sort of stuck before and I fiddled with everything and it finally worked. I'm not sure what I did but it finally released.

You might try putting the delta pad back on and turning the machine on/off.

Had the same issue. That worked for me.

Except i had to do a few times to get it to work. By few  mean 3-5 times.

Cant exactly remember..

This just happened to me too.

I went to use my RO 90 in orbital mode and couldn't switch it out of delta mode.  I tried the things suggested here in this thread, and got it to go into orbital mode, but it still won't go in to Rotex mode. 

Any other suggestions?  Not a showstopper for today as I wanted to use it in orbital mode, but still....

After completing my sanding, I tried it again.  It now goes into Rotex mode.  Hopefully, the problem won't reappear.

I will probably give Festool a call next week.
