I was doing some heavy wood removal with my RO125 and 60 grit paper. Suddenly, I saw something fly off to side and the sanding stopped. The sponge rubber had sheared off leaving the plastic part and part of the sponge rubber attached to the RO. The Velcro part and some of the sponge rubber was what had flown off.

Fortunately, Highland had a replacement.

This was an old RO so the sponge rubber had probably decayed.

"They say" (whoever they are) that there is a shelf-life to the foam in the pads. Apparently, it somewhat chemically self-destructs? I have never experienced it, but have seen it post here in the past.
