I have a decent piece of rock maple that needed to be turned into a fence for my drill press.  I've been demurring moving out on the project due to a lack of a thickness planer to get rid of the rough plane marks.  I decided to see if I could get rid of the marks by using the RO125.  I locked the board down on the MFT3s with the clamping devices, and grabbed the RO125 with a P60 disk, then moved to P80, P150, P220, and finally P400, and when I was done, it was smooth as the proverbial baby's bottom.  Here are a couple of before and after shots.

The lesson learned is that when absolute thickness accuracy is not an issue, I can use the RO125 and within 15 minutes, have a very smooth piece of lumber, ready for further cutting
