RO90 treating live edge?

Would an interface pad and RO90 work sufficiently on a live edge or should I stick with a wire brush or something else to prep it for finish?

It depends on the look you're after.  I would say that sanding a live edge changes the shape too much, no matter how soft of an interface pad you use.

I tend to agree, even with the interface pad it will soften the live edge details. You can probably use it for part of the sanding depending on the specific slab. I finish smaller edge details using a Foredom with 3M radial disks.

A Dremel works with those disks also, but I have fallen in love with the Foredom in the shop.

It's walnut.
Does Lee Valley have anything similar to those radial bristles (a quick search didn't find anything...sorry I seem lazy on this)?

This kind of abrasive "mop" is good for live edges or anything you want to clean and soften without altering the shape or dimension.

Amazon is your friend...

They are pricey but last a long time and work great.

I used my RO90 to clean up the live edge of this spruce slab used as a breakfast table.

Depends on the look you're going for.
