Jason Bent and Matthew Byington have made nice 4'x8' assembly tables, for festool MFT's and drawers, based upon Rockler's shop stand components. Are those opponents sufficiently strong for the heavy weight of those tables? I haven't seen them in person, but photos and videos make me curious about their heft.

Thanks for any replies.

They are plenty strong enough.  You really gain rigidity when you fill them with cabinets and/or shelves.  Very quick to assemble.  They make a nice framework for shop furniture.  Certainly comparable to 8020 in terms of strength.  8020 is infinitely more flexible and easier to work with using typical tools found in a wood shop.

[member=1307]Ted Owen[/member] I'll second my fellow Marine [member=42009]gunnyr[/member] 's valued insight that the Rockler stand is plenty strong. In my mobile vehicle-based shop I use them for my SawStop CTS compact tablesaw (self made top & drawers), Rockler "rock solid" folding router table and Makita miter saw (also rigid with top/drawers; btw: considering moving to the Festool Kapex with their nice stand/wings).

When Rockler cites their stands as "rock solid" they are entirely accurate. I'm always pleased with their products, as I am also with Woodpecker and of course Festool.
