Rolair Airstak trim kit

After much hesitation, I finally bought the Rolair Airstak to complete my trim kit.  It’s noticeably louder than my old Senco PC1010N, and a little heavier.  But I LOVE the Systainer format.  I thought about modifying the Senco as suggested by several forum members, but decided I’d rather have the Rolair properly mounted and vented (not a slam against those who have done it, but rather a criticism of my ability).

I put the compressor on a Sys Cart, then stacked my CT Sys on next, then put a Sys Tool Box on top.  The tool box makes for very easy and efficient access to either trim gun, nail supply, and other trimming needs.  And when I’m done, the air hose and compressor power cord easily fit in the tool box as well.

Being able to roll this kit from window to window saved considerable time and effort.  And if I encounter stairs, I just separate the stack and carry the tool box and CT Sys in one hand and the compressor in the other.

I just ordered the Cadex 1.5 hp air compressor with a 4 gal tank. They are having a special right now marked down to around 450.00$ from almost 800.00
Very quick recovery time and around 68 db.

DISCLOSURE: we (TSOproducts.com) sell the AirStak compressor and learned something - new to us last month:
We had to do an install of custom cabinetry in the extremely confined master bedroom of an occupied condo - white carpeting and all - you get the picture.

What really got our attention was the ease with which we were able to maneuver this air tool power source along with the remaining tools without worrying about getting anything dirty.

The lady of the house really appreciated the cleanliness of our work.

For us, the noise is noise - not whisper quiet but quite tolerable considering the brief run times cause by running small air tools.

how would you compare to the cadex? it comes in a smaller sys3 and same 1HP 1.9 CFM @ 90 PS.

Call cadex directly. It came in today it took about 15 seconds yo fill up. Call Cadex and talk to Jamie they have 6 left at that price. Its in a syst 4.

The cadex puts out 3.6 cfm @ 90 psi with a 60% duty cycle
