Hey guys, so I was looking for a new compressor to take onsite and use inside homes.  I was looking for something compact, light weight, able to run framing to finish guns, and most important quiet.  I spoke to the guys at Rolair and figured I would try out the JC10 and see if it fit all those categories.  Well it did, it has been able to handle light framing and is a dream to work with inside the house.  Heres a video demo of the compressor used with my framing gun and trim guns.

Damn it Dave, I had to buy one of those porter cable pancakes yesterday in a pinch and now I want that instead. On a side note I was reminded why I never buy tools at the Home Depot quite a few people came very close to death at my hands! I guess I can save my money though, as I can't seem to find a Canadian dealer. (NAIC)

In the words of John Lithgow, "Cursa You Banzai!!"

Just send the Nut the price of a JC10 and I swore I wasn't going to buy a tool this month. [embarassed]

It's truly amazing how quiet that little unit is.  Been flying out the door.  Grab the unit, plug it in, flip a switch and it's sold.  Have had no complaints or returns, no questions about durability, etc.  Little things like the roll cage make it a bit sturdier than Senco's PC1010 IMO.

Too late for me too, although I did get the Makita. It falls over during transport but other than that is quiet, and reasonable light.

That is quiet for an oil less.

I have been eye balling the little Thomas but, they have been out of stock for some time.

I really wanted a thomas but with them being out of stock and I've heard of people having a hard time getting parts I decided to look at other brands.  Oil less was a big deal for me as it gets cold here and I don't want to waste time trying to warm up a compressor in the morning.  I'm really happy with the JC10 and now I'm looking for a larger compressor to handle the framing guns and large trim jobs.

Dave and I have been discussing this guy.  I just ordered one at the end of last week for store stock.  It's a great replacement for the 20 gallon or so baby stand up I used to carry from Porter Cable.  Very interested to check it out.

Are parts available for the Rolair compressor, or are the disposable like Senco & some other brands?

Full parts lists and schematics available.

Sean,

That does not answer my question.

Where would I buy the parts for the Rolair compressors, if I would need them.

I have been waiting for parts from a dealer for a Senco compressor since April.
I had a parts list for the Senco compressor. So a parts list does not mean parts are available.

Apologies if I wasn't clear Chris.  Sorry for the miscommunication.  Parts can be ordered directly through The Tool Nut.

I've spoken to the guys at rolair before they knew I was going to do a video and they were extremely helpful. The rolair employees answered all my questions I had and even followed up with me on questions the gentleman I was talking to was not 100% sure of. Their service is what made my final decision on trying the jc10. I don't feel you will have any problems getting parts from them, rolair seemed like they really care about their customers.

Sean, I'll send you a pm tonight when I'm done my two shifts and we'll work out the deets.

Sean, do you regularly send product into Canada? Who do you use as a shipper and how do you handle Canadian customs?

Thanks in advance for the info. I have been thinking about a Rolair compressor.

Usually USPS, but UPS if it is in fact cheaper.

Dave, I have the Thomas 635 HD and it has been a problem since day one...it's quite noisy...there has been some type of electrical issue that won't allow it to start...depending on the circuit but I'll plug my Thomas pancake in and it'll work fine on the same circuit!  I'm ready to toss the 635 and get the Rolair!  The pancake is good but heavy for small trim jobs/kitchens.
