mfiori,

got your message, but when I try to send you a reply
the following error appears:

"You are not allowed to send personal messages."

although I am logged in to the forum I am not allowed
to view pictures

[IMAGE NOT SHOWN - GUESTS CANNOT VIEW ATTACHED IMAGES ]

neither am I allowed to upload pictures to prove
my point regarding badly constructed Festool products

its my bloody right to speak out when a product
I spent top dollars on like the Festool MFT is badly
constructed

this is systematic and deliberate manipulation of
Festool customers and the admin of this forum is
actively promoting misinformation

kind of hysteric act when admin try to hide hard
facts about badly constructed Festool products

guess, sometimes the truth could be hard to deal with,
especially when $$ are involved

indeed,

It's ironic that you type in the same fashion as this guy Dino has shown on the SMC board and that the word "nisse" is Norwegian for troll. Probably just two of the most apparent reasons why things haven't gone well for you here. Good day.

Nisse,
You are in a category known as "Restricted."  I've set up a system on this forum where anyone who receives more than 50 complaints is automatically placed in the Restricted category.  People in that category lose certain privileges, such as:
- Posting photos or attachments
- Viewing photos or attachments
- Sending PMs (although you can still receive them)
- Editing their posts
- Creating or voting in polls
- Viewing the memberlist

In essence, what happens when you receive 50 or more complains is that you continue to be a member, but your privileges are more like a guest.  People in the Restricted category are, of course, very close to being banned altogether.  But that's a step I have reserved for very, very few people!

The only people currently in the Restricted category are the EZ associates, and one regular member who has recently deleted most of his content.

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks,
Matthew

As I was sitting here waiting for my crew (all one of them) to show up, I came across this previously unread discussion.

Since there seemed to be some question as to the authenticity of the complaint, I, after I got my crew ( all one of them ) headed for the right projects for the day, went down to my shop to check.  I do not have a TS 75, but do have the very adequate for my needs ATF 55.  I noted that the saw does happen to ride on two slippery strips.  One carries the back edge of the plate and one is set back just a little from the blade.  The handle of the saw is set above the saw and centered so there is a triangulation effect.  Now one thing I remember from school days (further back than some of us here can even think about, let alone remember from history books) is that a triangle forms a very stable structure.  tried moving the saw, as prescribed by any saw manual, straight ahead by holding the handle.  I looked from top, sides, bottom and behind.  No tipping.

I then tried to deliberately tipp while holding the handle properly.  No way.

I them pushed down on the blade housing as the original poster displayed.  Pushing straight down.  No way
applying lateral pressure with just my finger, which to put it as an old German mason i learned my trade from, "is notd vat it us'ta vas".  again, no way.

Finally, I applied LATERAL pressure and down pressure using my hand on the blade housing. I actually applied considerable more pressure than i ever needed to apply cutting even ripping 2x solid White oak lumber Ureka!!!, i could tip the saw.

Oh boy.  I could not wait to voice my complaint.  Why isn't this saw constructed so i could run over it with my son's triaxle mack truck with 20 tons of gravel in the body.  I am sure somebody around here will require that sort of stability.

Oh, i forgot to mention, there is a second handle to add a little help in the stability department.  I am going to call my son right away and have him stop by with his Mack truck.  If that won't tipp my saw, perhaps he can bring his 10 or 12 (whatever size it is) Link Belt excavator and we will see what that can do as I find somebody to hold both handles on my ATF 55.  I would hold it myself, but i will be operating the camera  ::)

Woodenfish,

You are so right------"Nisse" in Norwegian is Hobgoblin

I checked to see what he  looks  like so that  the next time Nisse

appears (in sheep's clothing) we will recognize him and not be so easly

suckered in by his gobbledygook.

I applaud your strategy in choosing to operate the camera.

the green plastic strip closest to the cutting edge, designed to aid the saw in sliding on the rail, acts as a pivot point.
the result of the existence of this pivot point is potential rotational slop  in the saw as it moves along the rail.

Driving home in the rain tonight, I had to turn my Jeep very sharply to my right. Much to my surprise, my left wheels became a pivot point, causing both potential rotational slop and me to soil myself.

All I could think of when watching this video was the old driving demos put on by Joey Chitwood. With great skill and concentration he would get a car up on 2 wheels and manage to balance it there as he paraded past the grandstand. In his case, as far as I know, he never soiled himself. ::)

Fiori, are both you and Nils recruits from SMC?  There is a thread there with both of your SMC handles in it. Its not that your case is offensive but your timing in appearing in this forums is down right fishy, add to that both you and Nils are complaining about a problem that can be remedied with learning and experience. Now if you are so unhappy with your festool product why didn't you guys return the loot?

About members accusing you advertising for Dino; I hope you realize that if Dino sent you this way you are  being used as a marketing tool.

Good Afternoon,
This morning, mfiori put in a request to have his account deleted.

In a short while, I'm going to combine this discussion with the "EZ Stuff" discussion I just created, which is the general dumping area for all EZ Smart material.

Thanks,
Matthew
