I was wondering what is the best source for ROTEX 90 sandpaper.  My local Festool dealer has a limited selection, and Amazon doesn't appear to have nearly all the types and/or grits when you do a search.

And why did you discontinue the sample packs?  It kind of sucks that to have to buy a 100 pack of a grit that I might only use on rare occasions.  Maybe the solution is for Festool owners to set up some kind of informal sand-paper exchange board, where those who have an overstock of some grits can trade for ones they need?

Edward,

We do not have insight into dealers' inventory. I know which dealers have ordered what historically, but they may be out of stock and haven't reordered it. So, it's difficult to direct you to a good source. Plus, we try to remain impartial and not recommend certain dealers.

I suspect some of our forum members can offer their favorite dealer(s) to order from.

Abrasives sample packs have continually changed in their formats over the years in terms of which abrasive type, grit, and quantity. Some dealers, including some represented here on the forum, do offer custom abrasives assortments. So, you can get basically exactly what you want. Maybe one of them will contact you via PM.

+1 on Tom at Tool-Home.  Tom is very helpful and saved me a lot of money on a small custom assortment for the RO 90 and other sanders.

I buy my Festools goodies from Bob Marino, he sells in small quantities also.  I just place an order for various grits, mostly in combos of the smaller numbers.
