Hi All,

here is a short video clip i shot on the Holz 2010 Fair in Basel - Switzerland.
It was so impressive for me, as i haven't seen this amazing tool before, i had to shoot this few seconds of footage and bring it to your attention.
I've spent quite some time in re-modelling old doors and windows and this tool.. is exactly what i need.. Christmas is coming soon :)

enjoy watching,
FESTOOL ROTEX 90

kind regards, Mike

Thanks for taking the time to share the video. I can not wait for the 90 to be sold here in the USA.

Thanks for the video, Michael. We were talking about the new abrasive, Granat, in another thread. This shows it in action.  Granat is a sort of baby-blue color. You can see it chewed through that heavy paint and when the sander was flipped over, there was no clogging and it looked completely unused.

I'm feeling terribly sorry for this..  [tongue] but it's the same with me.. xmas is about getting interesting  [tongue]
Maybe i can grab me one before to do a complete review of the whole system with the different attachments..

kind regards, Mike

Thanks for another great video Mike! [thanks] I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.

In all fairness Shane that's not completely true.  If you look closely you'll see a (very) small amount of loading on the paper.

will this make it to north america soon

Shane can say with more certainty than I can, but I believe there are plans to bring it out in NA next year.

Thanks Michael.  It is most likely that, when this sander becomes available in Canada, one of them will become my fifth Festool sander.

Also, if the paper is really that good, I want some of it.

I'm excited to hear that this machine is a Transformer that goes from a small rotex to a delta pad, but I do not understand the mechanics of changing from a rotating sander to a vibrating sander.  Can someone shed some light on that feature for me??

Thanks Shane, I will be sure to take the purchase of this (as well as some Granat sandpaper for my other sanders)  into account when Margaret and I get around to negotiating the 2011 'Pellow Family' budget.

There is a lockout that the pad engages to prevent the circular sanding action from occuring.  And you thought it was magic.  [big grin]

Expect to see it Spring 2011 here in the U.S./Canada.

Cool we are getting an official ETA. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks Shane

So now, when someone askes whether they should get the RO 150 or the 125 we can tell them to save money and get the 150 AND the 90. No wait, I have that backwards.  [embarassed]
