1)
Vlies discs don't last very long if you stick them onto the sander the wrong way up.

2)
You cannot then use them the right way around because they won't stick to the pad.

(This is based on genuine, practical experience...)

Next?

3) The pad does poor job of sanding by itself without the sanding disc attached.
4) After using pad this way (3) sanding disc won't stick to it.

Mine has a serious design flaw. Even if the sander is plugged into the vac and the vac is on auto, the dust collection is terrible with the hose not connected to the sander. Don’t ask how I deduced this.

I've forgotten the sandpaper on my Bosch DEVS 1250 too, but remembered before the pad was damaged.  It wasn't sanding well.

Does the Rotex remove material much quicker on the side of the pad where the motor is?  The Bosch does, presumable due to weight.  I usually use it one handed which may also contribute.

Gear drive mode is much more effective when you actually turn the switch instead of just thinking you've turned the switch.

Being number 1 in a race means you’re done first. #1 on the ROTEX ensures you’re done last.
