I can't prove it, but I suspect that the newer 571759 package includes the new Multi-Jetstream pad, whereas in the the older 571593 package the Rotex is fitted with the standard 9-hole pad.

Hello thanks for the reply my rotex arrived today old part number on the box but with the jetstream pad and sadly,no protector  [jawdrop]

According to the Festool UK website...

Geared eccentric sander RO 150 FEQ-Plus GB 110V, Order number: 571759
Scope of delivery:
- FastFix sanding pad ? 150 mm (soft HT)
- StickFix sanding disc Brilliant 2, P120
- Festool PROTECTOR

...and the electronic version of the printed catalogue...

RO 150 FEQ-Plus GB 110V
sanding pad StickFix ? 150 mm (soft HT), StickFix sanding disc Brilliant 2, P120, Festool PROTECTOR, in a SYSTAINER SYS 3 - 571593

...both the old and new packages should come with the edge protector, so I'd take that up with your supplier.

The jetstream pad is the old pad. The new pad is the multi-jetstream pad. As for the protector, every Ro150 FEQ should come with one. Contact your dealer and I'm sure they'll send you one asap.

hello my dealer put one in the post for me today, no problems there.

Good!

I wondered  perhaps the machine itself has been modified/updated, hence the new part number.

As I understand it, the 57-series part number refers to the complete package - machine, Systainer, protector, pad, etc. Hence my theory of a different part number for Multi-Jetstream and plain JetStream packages.

The number on the label on the side of the machine itself will probably be in the 49-series, for example 493974. That is the number which is of interest when it comes to a change in construction or design. What is the number on the side of your sander?

I was suprised with the noise it make on a lower speed setting.

Only on a lower speed setting?  [big grin] Ha, it makes an incredible noise on every speed setting. Hearing protection required at all times, as far as I'm concerned. As with all powertools btw, but this one especially.  [tongue]
