ROTEX RO 150

Bought my first Festool sander today -- the 6" ROTEX RO 150.  Got it at the local Woodcraft store.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the sandpaper packs are sold in 100.  Very few were available in 50. 

Are there other companies (besides Festool) that make sandpaper with the hole pattern that works with Festools (center hole, etc.)?

Klingspor for one - though they don't have the variety of Festool's abrasives.

Some of the ISA's, like Bob Marino, sell broken packs of Festool sandpaper.  You can buy whatever quantity you need from the good guys, even if you can't from Woodcraft!!!  Ain't that right Bob???

ps - Don't let anyone tell you you can do without the center hole, even if Fine Woodworking's ROS article implied it a few months back.

In this picture you can see the difference with and without a center hole.  The without shows more build up in the center while the other indicates that more of the dust is moving towards the suction holes.
