Rotex sanders, which one to start?

I do believe the RO150 is commonly misunderstood - it can be quite gentle with the right technique, but you don't want to spend a lot of time holding it in the air !

Well, it sounds like I'm not the only one that looked like a fool holding the RO 150 over his head in the store before buying the RO 125...

  You'd only look foolish if you made sander noises with your mouth, WHILE holding the sander up in the air at the store like that[and the sander wasn't plugged in.... [wink]]
THAT, might get you some looks from the staff..... [big grin]

The RO90 is a great sander with lots of versatility.  I also love the RO150 -- this was my very first Festool Sander and a very versatile machine in its own right.  The two is a great combination to cover most applications.  You really cannot go wrong with any of the sanders in my opinion.  They were all designed for a purpose and it gets confusing because there is overlap.  The two sizes minimizes the overlap and adds versatility with getting into small areas and detail areas with the delta pad and the larger machine excels at the larger areas and open field work.
