Just had to buy a new one as the discs weren't sticking to the old one. I'm a bit disappointed at how little use I've had out of it, so I'm wondering if anyone has successfully renewed the velcro type material on the pad, rather than shelling out for a complete (and expensive) new pad. Or maybe if there's an interface pad that I can stick on instead.

Hi Steve,

You say your Rotex hasn't been used very much.....??? Something doesn't sound right there.... I only recently changed the backing pad on my RO150 for the first time in its life. Mine was brought new in 2003. The only reason I changed it was coz I wanted a firmer pad as I do a lot of Solid Surface worktops and I felt the original pad was a little tired. The new one is much better for this type of work.

Tim.

The most common reason for premature failure of the StickFix... sanding without an abrasive on the pad. Oops.  [embarassed]

Hi
Renewing the Velcro is not possible on the pad. They are classed as a consumable item.

That sounds like a challenge to me.
