I have recently received the OF 2200 Router and love it!. But, I build a lot of cutting boards and have many requests for juice grooves. Building a template to route out the juice grooves with a cove bit is easy, but I need a perfectly circular base for this router. I have bounced around the internet and cannot seem to locate one....
Does anyone know of such a beast?
Thank in advance for the help  ;D

I went through the exact thing and for the same reason, but I have the 1400.  I just made the round base plate out of 1/4" Lexan.  It constantly amazes me that simple things, for these fairly high priced FT tools, aren't made by FT or even other vendors.

Could you use a bushing/guide template instead? Means probably rethinking the jig a bit instead. I am surprised they don't have one in that $400 kit of additional bases...

Thanks for the responses!
Due to the differences in cutting board sizes that I get requests for, using a bushing probably wouldn't work for me. I created a jig that is adjustable, but does require the use of a round base.
I was keeping the idea of making my own base in my back pocket....looks like that might become plan A!

Did you design your own juice groove jig?  I played around with options and eventually bought the plans from King's Fine Woodworking.  I made a number of mistakes making it but it works really well and removes a lot of the stress I had doing it with my own jig.  I had tried to work around the flat side of the router base but it just made it more stressful.  Having this adjustable jig sure has made it easier.  I think you'll like your setup even more once you make the round base.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but a circle cutting jig for a router is super easy to make.  Once you have a perfect circle, turning that into a router base isn't exactly rocket science.

Just as it amazes me that after all these years that the FS-OF 2200 exist, an equal base for the OF-1400 and OF-1010 still doesn't exist and rely on a super small friction-fixed foot.

[/quote] Hi, it appears that this product  by tool curve allows the router to run flat off the rail if that what you want, just pull the pin, use on the oppsite side for on the rail?.guy

Look like the guiding is way worse with that small piece. Looks intended as LR-32 jig?

Hi, it is for shelf pins on holey rail, looks easier than swapping out the screws on base plate, also not a one trick pony [big grin]guy

What about the Woodpeck "Variable Router Jig"?

I was going to ask about the MFS 700, but this is the same idea.

The MFS700 even comes with the balancing plate for inside the jig.

Both require a guide bushing, though.

Don't think Festool offers the MFS700 anymore.

They do, you just need to import it from the UK or find it used somewhere.  Mine took almost a month to import. I got a used one, but it didn't have the balancer and a couple of the connectors, so I imported another one because the price wasn't that much different than trying to buy the missing pieces to complete my set.

The virutex stair template guide uses very similar extrusions, but not 100% compatible with the Festool extrusions from what I've been told.

It has been gone for some time, but now they are available all of the place again. Maybe not in the USA

Ya, it was removed from US shelves more than 5 years ago.  [sad]

They are still available overseas.
