Round-over 1" strips with CMS Router Table

Festup, what are these featherboards. Thanks.

NYC, the blue ones are Kregs. You can buy them in a 2 pack. The black one is a vertical mount for a mag switch that I use on my table saw. They worked well for the tests of the lock miter. I was thinking of  doing some quadlinear legs for a headboard I'm making, but didn't follow through. I didn't want to sacrifice some nice QSWO pieces in case it left gaps in the 50" length.  It might work for shorter pieces though.

Does that help?  Heck yeah  That's great guys, thanks for the ideas.  Those are wonderful things to see.

Here's something I came up with that may assist in the featherboard to the fence category. Lemme know if this helps!

That's pretty cool.
I don't have a cms, so I didn't know how difficult it was to attach feather boards. Sorry.

The way the clear cut stock guides appear to work is that the rubber wheels are angled towards the fence.  So the wood wants to push into the fence because of the angle of the wheels.    Think of it like a car tire going over a road with the wheel steering into a guard rail.  It's a real neat design and I bet it works great if the wheels stay clean from dust.  If anyone uses them, please chime in how well they work, because I'll by them ASAP if they work well.

You could use these.

Also make your own push stick.

I make one that sort of looks like a old VW.

never had a problem

With 1" strips, I would probably tear up those push blocks up...I had thought of that. I have the bench dogs that look like those in orange.  Probably for the same Chinese factory?

Drill an 1/8" hole in the curved/raised area of the stock feather fence at the apex. Screw on 3/4" x 1-1/4" blocks. Chamfer the leading edge of the blocks in the in feed side. This will allow you to use the stock set up.

If you have some UHMW plate use that instead of wood for the blocks.

Just another idea to add to the pot.

They pull the piece inward toward the fence like a feather board.

Does this work with the CMS fence?
It looks more like a fancy vertical featherboard. I don't see how it holds the piece against the fence?
But, with this apparatus, I do see that Jessem has a solution for this task...

They do work with the CMS.

I see that the rollers pull the piece towards the fence. Great product! I will order today. Thanks!

Get 2 GRR-Rippers - one in each hand.

I rounded several hundred feet of 1" x 1/4" x various lengths from 8" to 36".  It was beech for doll house parts.

So 1"x1" is child's play.

Start with thicker stock like 1"x2-1/4" x lenth round the two 1" sides and then cut to the 1" x 1" x length final size.
