I saw this picture and it was clear to me that something is not OK.

Due to the blockage suction line justify the elevated temperature of the lower bearing cover.

Which resulted in a deformation, plus failure ratchet mechanism bracket tool.

I managed to relax and clean this cover, but I must ordered new cover as well as cover supplied in the kit CMS.

I begin to understand the words of Peter Parfitt, who says that 2200 is for CMS using it is unnecessary.

Have a nice Sunday.

i have done this before also. but the root cause in my case was router was not
powered thru dust collector, and dust collector was turned on manually and
when the saw dust was flying everywhere on the router table, i didnt check for
WHY.
in my case the dust collector was full, had shut down, later i confirmed sawdust
up to top nothing could get in, and the hose? all packed with sawdust and the
rest of sawdust was flying. key here FLYING EVERYWHERE, like your worse off
than workingwihtout dust collector since its hose is jammed with sawdust.

then clean up meant clearing all 15 feet of hose from the sawdust all packed inside
sort of like inside the router you showed.

that wasnt because the router was improperly used, but there was no communication
from dust collector to router to STOP.

festool system is about good dust collection, and when it fails you are left with
non festool tools.

Weakness of this system is manifested when routing grooves impassable when the dust  collects only the lower portion suction system, the side suction  branch works unnecessarily. Simple solution is  possibility to conclude the side suction  branch.

Is there a dust cover missing from the pictures...

I am not sure when it was introduced but my CMS OF kit included a clear plastic dust cover which protects the machine by helping to stop dust from entering through the air holes close to the centre line - the ones that we see blocked in one of the pictures.

Dear Peter,

of course. Several times I saw before buying your instructional video. Also, I am not ashamed to admit that I read manuals.
This components got hit too, and will be replaced.
But the important thing is that I managed to clean up the area and work can continue.

All the best for you.
