I stumbled across this little gem while perusing the rockler catalogue last week. I have a job that required some edge joining (I'm building some cabinets out of Starboard a marine grade polymer sheet good) but I couldn't justify buying a 1010 just for its dust-collection abilities. I don't do enough routing during the year to buy it in the hopes that I might use it for another job.
Modestly priced, this thing transforms a mess-generating old Porter cable 690 into a Festool wanna-be when hooked up to a CT. If you need dust-collection for a router, but don't have the $ or need for a 1010, this might be the way to go.

You do have to buy the universal plate and the "Whirlwind dust port", but for 45.00 bucks or so it's well worth it IMO.
