I used my TS55 to cut the pieces for this router table.  It is nothing too fancy by any means.  The plywood is left over birch that I have been hoarding in my shop. I plan on painting it light grey with green funny shaped handles! As I work more on it pics will be added.

Nice work. Just a note on the Kreg phenolic insert though -  I have a Kreg table and had to fabricate extra supports to keep the plate from sagging with my heavy Triton router, and if I had the choice I would have gotten an aluminum one I nstead.

The lift is an aluminum plate. I have had the 3hp Porter Cable in it for over a year with no issues. I will keep an eye on though.

Looking good bud, I have 2 of those porter cable speedomatics, a plunge and a fixed base, probably going on better than 15 yrs I keep waiting for one of them to die so I have a "legitimate " excuse to " have" to run out and buy a2200..but they just won't DIE !!!

Looks good.
Is a router collet extension needed  with a router lift  mechanism?
I've seen axminster  in the UK selling them.
And  are they  safe?

I have an Axminster router collet extension, and it's a tool of last resort.  I get a lot of run out with it.

What fence are you using and how do you like it? Looks good. I saw one built with a plexiglass cover so you could see how much saw dust had accumulated and all the corners had been angled twords the dust collection port.

I have not needed to use any sort of collet extension with this lift.  When fully up the bit can be changed all above the table. Have yet to run into any issues of a bit not being usable in the standard collets that came with the router motor.

I have to chuckle a little bit about the fence.  My original router table was a bench top model by BOSCH, which I bought at Lowes. The fence is from that table. It is aluminum extrusion with built in dust collection, nice and straight with replaceable MDF faces.  The only thing I had to do was drill new holes for the bolts that attach it to the tracks on the table.

I have that same Bosch table top router table AND have the same mistake chip out on the corner as yours!

I finished the door and the drawers. Still need to put fronts on the four upper drawers and then make the handles/pulls.
