I have a Festool OF 1400 router and I want to do some edge trimming which is demonstrated in this Festool Video:=197

Now obviously he is using an OFK 700, but I don’t have one. I only have an OF 1400. I do have a flush trim bit that would work, but considering how thin the edge is, it is hard for me to maintain the OF 1400 perpendicular to the edge because how thin the edge is.

Is there any type of bit that I can use on the OF 1400, or a jig to stabilize it so I can use a flush trim bit, or some other way to to get my edge flush with the top of the board?

Always good to put your country of origin so others can better help you as this is an international board.

Your router will do exactly what you are asking it to do with a couple more parts. You can run a bearing bit or a non bearing bit. Bearing bit will be more forgiving in setup. There are also bits available that will slightly chamfer the edge.
Parts needed. (Not sure if the OF1400 uses a similar chip guard to the OF1010?)https://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/486058---up-ofhttps://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/486052---wa-of

Have you thought about using a really sharp block plane. Unless you have yards and yards of edging, a plane can be faster than setting up a router.
