I made a nice discovery today. I have a four panel closet door to install. The door slabs come blank and require wheel installation and handle installation. I have to route out a spot for the handles to sink in. On my drive over I was thinking of all the options I had to make a circular jig for this.
I had an ephiphany in the driveway. The pulls are 2” across. My door boring kit has a 2 1/8 template for door handles. With a 1/8” offset bushing (is that even what it’s called?) the door jig provided a perfect template for this handles. A nice tight friction fit at that.
I’ll post additional pictures once the door is finished and crown moulding reinstalled.
Maybe this post may help someone in the future. Who knows.
