RS2E leaving streaks

My RS2E leaves streaks on wood.  The streaks are about 2-3mm wide and follow the track of the sander.  They are worse when sanding in a straight line but exist no matter how I operate the sander.  It's a bummer as I like the flat surface the sander produces compared to a random orbit sander.  Is this common to this sander or just an anomaly with mine?  I can't even consider this as a finish sander and need to finish up with my 150. Anyone have a similar experience or remedy?
thanks,
Bob

You're going to have to define streaks a little better.  I assume you mean scratches??  Sounds like a piece of debris between the paper and material but this would go away with a clean slate.  Maybe debris or blemish on the pad?

Bob,

I think a photo of what your talking would probably help.

I would suggest you give our guys in the service department a call, number on your tool and below in my signature. They are in the best position to help diagnose and remedy any problems with your tool.

Sorry your not getting good results. We'll get it fixed for you.

Shane

Thanks Shane, I will call the service department.  These are not scratches but wide 2-3mm streaks that are less obvious when I move the sander rapidly, but are still present.  They resemble worm paths in wood but are only a rub on the surface and I am not sure a picture will represent them well.  It is as if one area of the pad has a high spot or perhaps one of the vacuum holes is the culprit. They are not swirl marks. I have checked for debris undrer the pad and also reduced the vacuum to no avail.
