RV style Drawer Slides? (or locking)

Ive got all my drawers put together for my van systainer rack im building. The next step is figuring out the drawer slides. I have been racking my brain trying to come up with the best solution for drawer slides that will keep closed (kind of like RV slides) but i want to drawers to be smooth and easy to pull out. Preferably undermount because i cannot for the life of me mount side drawer slides properly [embarassed]

Anyone have any options that arent too expensive, it is a workvan afterall  [smile]

my other thought is if I cant come up with a drawer slide that works and wont break the bank i might just use a long stip on a hinge that latches infront of the drawers that runs up/down the vertical sides

That seems like a good idea, then you can use any slides you want.

Can you not use a bungee cord top to bottom with two eyelets? Right down the center. Would be simple but inexpensive and easy to try.

Are you still looking for slides that lock??

When I designed my home built systainers I went with locking slides that are used in the IT industry for LAN switches and hardware. They lock open and closed so they worked perfectly for my needs moving the systainers around in the shop and garage and should do the trick in a work van as well. However they are side mounts but if I can get them to screw to the side of a cabinet case and open and close I think anyone can.

As for cost... I got mine on ebay from a salvage company so the cost was in the $8 per set range. They work fantastically and I drove the systainers in a trailer facing outwards from Texas to Vancouver with no mishaps and no locking bar required.
