Hi All,
Been a lurker for a while, visit semi frequently, have been super busy launching my shop / side business, and thought I would introduce myself while I have a moment. I've been doing woodworking and re-model projects for some time (about 30 years) and recently incorporated a little business on the side focusing on custom furniture (+ built-ins, loose shelves, accessories, etc) for living areas and high end kitchen / living wares with a sustainable / responsible modern contemporary / mid-century modern focus. I have been known to rescue / refinish guitars (electric) as well. (I'm also a player).
I'm in the process of moving/updating my shop and anxious to get into full on production mode. I'm currently building a bunch of the "on hand" items to meet holiday rush, and have recently kicked off a new series of themed tables that will be a riff on Earth Elements and I'm leveraging my experience with guitar re-finishing in the design aesthetic. Other things I'm experimenting with right now are resin casting (acrylic plastic) with wood to create another line.
Here is one of the drawer faces of one table recently coming-out of my dye process. You can see this is definitely West Coast Contemporary in flavor (Ocean Front).
And an obligatory shot of some of the Sustainers and one of the CTs. I also have a bevy of tracks, a couple of MFT/3s, and a few more Systainers lying around. This shot was from a moment of organization / coordination during the move.
For more images and some of my goings ons / & social media links you can visit soulwoods.com
Other tools and support include a bunch of Woodpeckers stuff (including their large Phenolic Router Table & Lift), Sawstop, Jet, DeWalt, Makita, Porter Cable, Wera, Bessey, Snap-on, Freud, Whiteside, CMT, Two Cherries, Stanley, Sorby, Veritas, Sjoberg, and a couple of Bosch things...etc...
