Sander Problems

I purchased the new ETS EC 150/3 sander months ago.  It never did handle very well from the start. Recently it kept shutting off right after I would power it up.  I tried several things and it still wouldn't run.  I sent it off to Festool.  When it came back, the return form said they replaced the electronic modules.  Tried my sander that day.  It ran for a couple minutes then did the exact same thing.  Shuts itself off.
I called Festool repair and he told me he had no idea what was wrong.  I'd need to send it in so they could diagnose the problem.  I said, "I just did that and you didn't fix it."  He didn't seem to care.  I asked him what happens if it does the same thing.  He said, "I don't know.  I'll have to talk to my boss about that."
Its a freaking $500 sander that won't work and they don't give a rip.  I should have bought the new Mirka.
I think it's time to sell my Festools and move on.

Why not just send it back to them ?  You're only out a few minutes of your time that it takes to print up a new ticket and UPS label.

Maybe include a note asking them to test the sander for 5-10 minutes with sandpaper before they send it back to be sure it's working this time.

There are two modules on the sander , do you know if they replaced both ?

I am going to send it back again.  The sheet said they replaced "Modules," so i'm assuming they replaced both.  That's a good idea about the note.  I'm not sure what their process is as far as testing once the tool is repaired.
