I would like to see Festool make a rotes angled sander apprx 2"  specifically for woodturners.  Every woodturner uses an angled sander variable speed due to using it on shaped bowls on the lathe.
  A rotex would be fantastic.

I have never done any turning, but assume the bowls a sanded while still mounted to the chuck? If so with the bowl turning on the lathe, wouldn't the Rotex be too aggressive in combination of a spinning bowl?

This makes me smile as I always visualise wood turners with big long beards full of wood shavings (you'd probably have to visit a local woodworking show to appreciate my perspective). Anyway - wood turning and sanding with DC seem to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.
