Think the DX93 will give more control for more delicate work, such as this.

The RO 90 is a good option too if you need to sand trim, etc.

If you're in the U.S. or Canada, the DX 93 has been discontinued.

I have both. It's hard to say which is better in corners. I just used the DX93 today and I think it probably is better for corners since the pad is smaller and there is better control. However, that only applies to corners where you have sufficient room for the DX93. The handle is too long to use in many drawers and with smaller projects. That's the only thing I don't like about it. Other than that, it works well and dust collection is great. The DTS400 is also a great sander but I find being able to hold the DX93 with 2 hands its helpful in corners.

I wanted to write a little longer reply but Safari on my iPad kept refreshing every time I changed tabs to look something up.

So here we go:

Between that "shed job" I got the DTS 400 for and now, I got my hands additionally on a used DX 93 E via ebay that I put a little work into.

My, very personal and limited to my experience, opinion is that the DTS 400 fits my hand and work "style" better than the DX 93 E however the options for the DTS 400 are limited to that one sanding pad, whereas with the DX 93 E you can get also softer sanding pads - and, maybe most important, a slat sanding pad. If you're going to need the latter, the DX 93 E is basically the only option.

If you don't need the slat sanding pad - the Rotex RO 90 DX might be another option as it combines the options of a triangle sanding plate/pad or a round one of 90 mm diameter - which can be a plus when sanding surfaces. But I don't have any experience with the RO 90.

Since Festool puts both, the DX 93 E and RO 90 into the category of rough sanding - and knowing what the DTS 400 can do - I'd like to recommend the DTS 400 for what you want to do. Definitely get an extra sanding pad or two if you're going to use the tip a lot.

They are all great sanders.

I went with an RO90 for it's versatility, and have found it to be a pleasure to work with. It tends to get used more with the round disk than the delta pad though. Twice as much sand paper to buy, since it does twice as much.

RO150

RS 200

BS 75

ETS EC150

PLANEX 225

So its to compliment these, for corner work

I was thinking about maybe buying both the DTS400 and the DX93, what do you think? good idea?

Neither. The RO 90 is probably the best option for you.

. I own the DX 93, the DTS 400 and the RO90 sanders, and all work into corners well. But, for the tightest spaces , I generally reach for my DX93.
The slat adapter that [member=57586]six-point socket[/member] mentioned is a great accessory to have even if you don't work with louvered sections or slats since it extends your sanders reach.

That is a nice collection.
I got a used dx93, and while it is is slow it is nice for delicate work.
If you can score a used one (as they are now NAINA) it makes sense.

DTS400

RTS400

DX 93

Will see how I get on, I will get the RO90 at a later date if need be

Which you prefer for what kind of jobs. 

Just sayin':  if ever want to add to your collection - as you're in the UK,
don't forget the RS 300 + the 'iron' shaped pad...  [big grin]
