Sanding pad issues.

I have a tendency to stock pile sanding pads for my sanders.

Not to long ago I rendered the last pad on my R0 125 useless and grabbed a new one from the case.

This one is having some issues.  The velcro ( or whatever you guys call it) is separating from the pad.

What can I glues this back together with?  I have contact cement, spray adhesive, all sorts of glues, thinset, mastic, and a soldering iron. [big grin]

Which one will work?  I know what one may be the most fun.

Think I would start with a blow torch. You could liquify the pad and then apply the velcro. Bet it would stay stuck on!!  [eek]

Bet someone else has a better idea.  [wink]

If you have some try a piece of Fastcaps laminate tape. This stuff hasn't let me down on anything yet. Other wise I like Peter's idea.

I got a mapp gas torch and a set of oxyacetylene torches too.

Maybe I should remove the pad from the sander first. [big grin]

You have a staple gun, right?  [blink]

I've already contacted Darcy about getting in touch with service. They'll help figure out what caused this, though I suspect it may just be a defective unit. They'll make it good.

You don't want to ruin all the fun about what method I will use to re-attach!! [poke]

It is the only pad I ever had this happen to.  I am exceptionally hard on sanding pads too. [big grin]
