Sanding stained wood with ROTEX 125, which Abrasive?

Hi All,

I need to sand my ceiling, and I planned doing that with a Rotex 125. There are quiet some beams and surface (~ 40 m2) to and I got lost in all different sandpaper options.

I want to get close to the "bare wood color", maybe to paint it later.

I tried googling and Brilliant 2 came up, this should do it?

Now my second question is, can you mix and match as in start with Brilliant (up to P120) and then move over to Rubin 2? Also what would be a good starting P size? I have zero paper so, need to buy what ever is the best for the job.

For sanding off a finish I would start with Granat. The grit will be determined by the type of finish (is it only stain?), the type of surface, and how deep you need to go to remove it.

Some pictures would help. Are the beams rough, smooth, etc.

Brilliant is no longer an option.

If there is finish, use Granat Net with the proper interface pad.

Once the finish is off switch to Granat paper, 180 in the orbital mode.
