Sandpaper recommendations

I need to clean up the fascia boards before painting.  I am planning on using my ROTEX 150.  What sandpaper type and grit do you recommend?

I've used Granat for paint removal, I think it's recommended for that purpose too. Probably saves you a lot of paper if you scrape down the worst of it first. When I stripped my interior doors I used 40 for stripping in rotary mode, then 80, 120 and 180 to sand smooth again. You may not need to go up to 180 if it's relatively rough outside stuff.

Search for 'air viper scraper' if you need a scraper. I do not have one yet but when the next scraping job presents it self that's what I'm going to try.
