I ve been meaning to try this for some time now and finally had some time to get around to it.
Hand cutting dovetails. I looked at lots of tutorials, vids etc and figured that with some practice it couldn t be that hard.
The problem was that i dont have a dovetail saw and the small saws I have, have a kerf that is much to wide. So i took a wet stone and ran it along the teeth of an old small saw i had lying around. Result: small kerf but the saw got a lot harder to operate (it gets stuck in the cut).
Anyways after totally screwing up the first attempts i think i am getting the hang of it. It is actually fun to do. They are not as tight as the ones i can make with the VS 500 (the older festool dovetail jig)
But i really like the way you can space the dovetails to your liking.
