I've seen some comments in previous sawstop threads that if the owner of Sawstop feels so strongly about the safety of his saws why does he use a hot dog for the demos instead of his finger.  After getting an email from highland woodworking that showed a finger demo I found this video on youtube.
Here you go

Now this isn't a real world test in that he moves his finger very slowly into the blade.  However, I have personally seen a demo where a female Sawstop worker at a demo at my local woodcraft used a hotdog on a thin piece of plywood.  She jammed the wood through the blade as fast as she possibly could.  It was way faster than I would ever cut a piece of wood.  The hot dog had the same tiny cut you see in every other video.

Yep, the technology is without a doubt amazing and it works extremely well. On top of that the quality of their saws are second to none. All that and more is why I own one :)
