SawStop Jobsite Saw review from Gary Katz

It only takes one turn to fully extend the blade on the JSS. I've cut a lot of PVC without any problems. Dust collection is great. I don't miss the Dewalt saw that it replaced at all.

I just moved from a large walk-out basement shop to a one car garage so had to get rid of some stationary tools, among those my table saw.  I wanted the SawStop technology so I was drawn to the JSS.  I bought one.
I have made several cuts now and I like the saw.  The fence is accurate and adjust easily.  The on board storage is handy for the fence and push stick.  One turn to raise or lower the blade is a feature I like.  Good month cuts.  Belt driven.
Nice saw

I am holding on to 4100 until I see the REAXX model.

I similarly am hanging onto my older Bosch 4000 which has worked very well for me over the years.  I want to get a good look at the REAXX before making a decision

The Bosch has the advantage of a two-fire cartridge at a lower retail price ($100 is what I read). Based on Bosch's other items it will probably sell for $70 or so, but even at that it is definitely not cheap to keep have misfires.

All things being equal, the Bosch will cost less per firing when one considers the two-shot replacement cartridge and the fact that one will not have to replace the blade or have to get it resharpened, never mind downtime to replace the cartridge and/or blade.  I can't fault the obvious high quality of the SawStop products.  The fact that the Bosch drops the blade out of sight in micro-seconds is what speaks to me.
