Sawstop Router Table

Hi,

Just noticed Sawstop has a line of router tables.  Available at Lee Valley.

Has anyone heard of any feedback ?

Looking for a router table to mount my OF2200 in.  Or should I save up for the Festool ?

I have the Sawstop table. It’s flat, well built and I have no complaints. Make sure it is compatible with options you have for your saw (mobile base, over arm dust collection).

I installed an Incra master lift with the magnetic rings instead of the Sawstop lift. I’m using the Portamate variable speed motor. To use the OF2200 you would have to mount it to a plate.

I'm actually planning on purchasing a new Sawstop PCS soon and looked at the Sawstop router table wing a couple weeks ago to see if I wanted to go that way .. thinking it would save a little space.  Right next to the Sawstop was the Jet cast iron router top/base, with their micro-adjustable fence system.  First time I'd seen it and really was impressed with the fence system.  I can see the advantages of a micro-adjust on a router fence, so the new Jet fence, Woodpeckers, or Incra are now what I'm considering.  Going with either the Incra or Woodpeckers router lift ... still want to see both before deciding.

I was looking to go with the Sawstop router lift but I hate being the first to try a new product.  I prefer to let the bugs get worked out but this seems pretty straightforward.

I don't think the Sawstop lift is their design. It appears to be virtually identical to units sold by Axminster, General Excalibur, Woodtek, Jet (JRL-912).

For my setup I placed the router table on the right side of my PCS. The parts purchased included the router table, cast iron insert to replace the wood extension, new fence rails, and the dust collection box. I then included the Incra Master list with magnetic rings, and the Powertek 3 1/4 hp router motor with remote speed control.

If you have the overarm dust control installed on the saw it interferes with access to the router table. I solved this by replacing the two bolts that clamp the arm with "T Knobs". I loosen the clamps and rotate the arm down out of the way.

All-in-all I'm happy. This setup replaced my Bench Dog standalone router table which was great. I think over time I will be just as happy with my new setup.
