I made  this spinner from  some old waste  mahogany  I had laying round  the  workshop..
I finished  it with four coats  using a cellulose  based  aerosol lacquer... And its working  nicely too. ;D

Beautiful.  The turnings are so consistent.  Did you use a copier on the lathe?

Great job.  It takes a special skill to build a wheel like that and to make the whole thing work as it should.  Thank you for sharing!

Nicely done! Do you have any 'progress' pictures that you can share? I'm particularly interested in how you made the wheel?

No progress pictures I'm afraid.

The wheel  is four  sections  joined by loose tennons. It was a  square shape before being trimmed with the jigsaw.
The outer ring of the wheel  was attached  to  18mm ply. The ply  was screwed to a faceplate.

Four screws  nipped the outer  circumference  of the wheel  to hold it  secure to the ply. I finished one side  then turned it  and finished the other.
