Hi. What do you think of the cutting blades (65 mm), from the Saxton and Antler brands? I assume they are from the same manufacturer.
The Antler brand is cheaper.
I use them to cut door frames, to put the parquet.
Good brands like Fein, Festool are much more expensive ..
I use many, like 8-12 a month and I think it is more profitable for me to buy the cheapest ones.

Is it worth buying from these brands or is it better to buy well-known brands like Festool, Fein ..?
Do you know any brand that is much better quality / price? Thank you.

I'm partial to Bosch-branded carbide-tipped blades and, depending on the task at hand, a Bosch half-moon or Fein straight/rectangular diamond tipped blade (the latter ~$35/each when purchased direct from Amazon UK). The Bosch carbide blades (Swiss-made) rate amongst the best and are ~$7/each when purchased in pre-packed sets of 10 (and they far outlast non-carbide blades). I see no point in wasting money on regular steel blades given that they are basically one time/one job use throwaways. BTW Festool-branded oscillating blades are simply rebranded FEIN blades (Made in Germany).

Also, Imperial blades (US-made) are now an option for me given that they recently began producing Starlock blades.

Since you missed it, you may find this ongoing conversation useful:

I have a load of those Antler blades and find they do the job on wood as well as any Bosch blades Ive used.
I tend to use the metal/plastic cutting blades on  most things and the ones with the Japanese tooth design for cutting wood start out well but really don't last.

Usually if I'm using a multitool its on a hard to reach area and on something that might contain nails which obviously affects the life.

Can't say Ive ever used one to remove tile grout but if I absolutely had to I'd likely use one 9f the tungsten carbide encrusted blades. Mind, given the choice I'd swerve that job entirely and hope one of the labourers would get it.
I'd buy them again, no worries but would likely go for less of the wood cutting toothforms cos the hacksaw blade type teeth last way better on the stuff I'm cutting.

All the Fein blades are a big rip-off. The mark-up on those things is incredible.

I buy a 4 pack of Werckmann blades for just 3 euros and they last just as long as Fein blades that are 20 times as expensive.

Funny thing is, the DIY center across the street from where I buy these blades sells the exacts same blades in a different package for 30 euros !!! Buyer, very much beware.

So Fein noticed they got too much competition from 3rd party manufacturers, and invented StarLock. Wow, such an improvement. So much more easy of use. So much more quality. NOT.

I've been using Saxton blades and the quality is above average relative to the price.

These are sold in England. They are different pages, but it is the same company.
They look the same, but Saxton's are more expensive.
Is it worth paying more for Saxton's?
