Hey all. This Thursday Festool will be doing some scheduled maintenance on the FOG. The updates should result in fewer issues and downtimes in the future.

The bad news is that the FOG will be offline for approx. 24 hours beginning this Thursday, Dec. 17 at approx. 8:00 am ET.

You will need to resort to Morse Code and telepathy during this time. Thank you in advance for your patience.

But I start getting the shakes after only about an hour away from the FOG.  I cant imagine what a whole day will do to me!!

I trust that 'log in stability' will be high on the list of things to attend to?

OK - so we actually need a list of things to do while the FOG is down. I'll start the ball rolling ...

1. Go to the Mafell forum and post lots of happy stories about your Festool tools.

2)  Hang out at your nearest Big Box Store telling all the people buying Ryobi & Black&Decker how they're money could be better spent. By spending 5 times as much.

(sadly I won't have time to do this, as I'm painting all my wall plugs green)

[member=57769]TylerC[/member] is there any chance of the missing photos *ever* coming back or are they lost forever?

Unfortunately, those are lost and gone forever. That pre-dates my time at Festool, so I'm not 100% in the know on it. I'll dig around today to make sure that nothing can be done. That said, I wouldn't expect good news.

Thanks Tyler. Even if they can't come back into the forum posts they belong to, if we could get them back into an album maybe? Then at least we might be able to find the photos we're looking for and even add them back in to posts ourselves.

[member=11629]GarryMartin[/member]  I checked this morning, and -- as I feared -- the images are simply lost and gone. Sorry again.

[member=58896]bigred00[/member] - Making it mobile friendly isn't part of this update, but we're working on it. We actually just had a conversation this morning. We definitely want that to happen, but we need to make sure that it doesn't happen in a way that deletes any content or functionality.

I was going to bring this up earlier, however I didn't know where to post it, but this seems like a convenient place.

Over the last 2-3 weeks I have had very limited availability of the FOG on my iPad & iPhone. I will actually be able to log-in only 1 in 10 times on the mobile devices. I keep receiving a message stating I've exceeded my 5 log-ins (even though it's my first one) and I must wait to log-in again. Or it will state that there was an error and I need to log-in at which time it then tells me I've exceeded my 5 log-ins.

I originally took screen shots of all these FOG messages but not knowing where to post them, I have since trashed them.

Just a heads-up for you...

Thanks. I haven't seen this before. The next time that you get this message, please take a screenshot and send it to me.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member], try clearing your browser cache/history. Login is working on my iPhone, which I just tested.

FWIW, it's also been working on mine.

Ok guys...Tyler, I will forward any new screen shots to you.

Shane...not wanting to sound too stupid...but how do I clear the cache/history?

[member=44099]Cheese[/member], go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data

Sorry, I should have included instructions.

Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]

That's not too difficult [eek]

My iphone is working now but I'm going to clear the cache anyways.

[member=57769]TylerC[/member]  when the server is down any chance you can look at the Unread posts issues effecting iPads that has already been mentioned in a previous thread.
The problem seems to be when I login to the Fog click on the unread section at the top and it shows one or two pages of unread messages, but if I have to log out without reading most of the posts and then log back in again all the unread messages have-disappeared from the unread section, even though they have not been read.
