Schneider air compressor systainer

Just stumbled across this from Schneider which is a brand of TTS who own Festool and Protool

Wow, that is sweeeeet.  Though if I'm converting right, that's about $600US.  Plus, it has DeFault's colors...

I just picked up this little guy today

..and it fits *perfectly* inside a Sys 5, with enough room for pigtail hose, and I'm hoping two nail guns (16g and 18g), and my poly 50' hose.

The feet fall just where they need to avoid the bottom ribs.  I haven't had time to fiddle with the interior, securing it or cutting some holes for the hose and cord.  But more to follow in a future thread, perhaps.

Wicked nice fined!   I knew schneider was part of the TTS   and checked some of their stuff out a while ago but didnt see that!!   Must be fairly recent!

Well Im pretty sure it was on many peoples I wish Festool mode a compressor inside a systainer well it was mine! !  Well they have basically made it come true!

I might be interested in one! .........

Wow - followed the link and got a big splash message saying Sears now ship to Australia ... But why? Do they have a desire to outgun Amazon?

A neat little thing that Schneider....but holy moly look at the noise level! 90 dB(A)  [scared]

I believe I can find a compressor with same air specs but with a noise level around 60 dB(A)

Systainer or not I wouldn't dream of picking a compressor that noisy.  [tongue]

It shouldn't be much of a problem finding a quieter small compressor. I just bought the Senco PC1010 compressor and although it's supposed to be rated at 69db, it sure sounds quieter than that. Running it in my apartment, a regular conversation can go on at the same time without effort.

And, just to tie the subject into this thread, I looked into fitting it into a systainer. Width wise, it fits perfectly. Depth wise it's a little too deep, but the Senco would fit very neatly if the frame was removed from it. At 20 lbs, it looks very systainer friendly.

I'm not into carrying systainers around so I won't be modifying my Senco, but it looks like an ideal compressor to use if someone wants to do so.
