Second MFT or this one ...

      Personally, I'd opt, for the second mft, for several reasons, mainly i don't read geman or dutch very well, for starters, secondly it's not available yet, and thirdly, the price is 499.00 euro, correct ? which according to my math would be 650.00 U.S. for a 1050, I'll stick with the 1080, for 345.00 U.S. What about clamps and a guide rail, and an angle unit ? Don't get me wrong it looks like a nice table, but there's my comparison  and my math may be mistaken, the price quoted is euros correct ? thanks dan

That's an interesting product.  I'd like to see it on this side of the Atlantic.  I hope that the price will be reasonable when it hits our shores.  (I don't expect low, but hope for reasonable.)

There's one point in the video where the guy pulled out what appears to be a quick clamp, removed an end, stuck the bar though a bench hole, and clamped down a board.  Is that feasible?  Would that damage the hole?  Are there adapters that help you do this?

If you look closely at the video he appears to be reaching under the table and putting the clamp head back on. You can do that with the MFT or a Workmate and the "Spreader" type Quick Clamps.

Good catch!    I have some Jorgenson and Erwin quick clamps that would work.  I much prefer the Jorgies, but the Erwins have one advantage - their clamp head releases more easily.

Erwin bought the design a few years ago.

I too wander about the price of the Walko table, we will see.

I use the "Irwin" clamp  similar as shown on the video all  the time on my MFTs and they work just fine.  a slider on the end of the clamp is easy to use and re-attach on the clamp (below the table)

The Walko table looks much more portable compared to the MFT.  I wonder what 'accessories' come with it?  You need those right-angle clips/supports for the MFT-like worksurfaces.

Interesting thing to think about is that the MFT metal is all soft AL, enabling the blade of the saw to cut it without too much damage (to the saw) . Is the Walko frame steel?

The 1080 does not handle 8 x 4 board to easily, the walko gets the 8*4 ripping right, low to the ground so you can kneel on it, and no awkward waist height lifts in cramped conditions, once you have cab sizes the 1080 would rule over this, but they seem very different beasts. It weighs 25kgs, that would have to be al wouldn't it, in any case, at least it can be lifted.

Doesn't have the all round good looks of a festool piece, maybe if festool were to do a version it would be 3 * the price.
