Looking at upgrading my 1.5yr old CT22 to a CT36 but not sure what it is worth. Did add the Hose garage on top and Handle on the rear. Unit is also in perfect condition and has spare bags. Any ideas on a fair selling price?

thx

I have seen them go on ebay for as low as 400.00 lately.

I have to see a picture, if it is pristine and like new a bit more, maybe 500.00. If it was sold before the newer models came out I would say 80% of what you paid. Now with the newer models you may have to entice someone with 70% of what you paid. And I find a lot of times guys do not care about the extras so much as a price consideration, meaning you may get the same with or without the extras. It depends on the buyer.

I have noticed, no matter what people say about Festool resale, lately in the last 6 months the economy has hit the resale items. I actually see Festools on ebay for a decent price(ie 70 to 80% of new) not even selling and that is a first.

Ask what you want and keep it if you don't get it.

Here is one does not look to be in that bad a shape:

This seller is not very smart. I"ll tell  you right now, detail the crap out of it, Armour all it, use a tooth pick to get the dust out. Clean the filters as best you can. Put a new bag in it! Take the hose outside and hit it with a water hose inside and out and clean it up!  Make it look new, take the time. It makes ALL the difference in the world. All this guy has to do his hit the thing with Windex and the pics would come across a thousand times better. Not cleaning the machine before selling is lazy and you are just giving away money by not cleaning it up as best you can. I could make the unit in this listing look like box new. And we all know they work like box new for a long time.

Nabbed a ts55 kit for $375 and now that ct22 :)

Patience has its virtues...

Missed that OF1400 for $385 but I can wait :) almost kitted out.

To the OP - did you check "Completed listings" on ebay for the CT22 - that typically shows you a decent range for they sold for.  Those prices will generally be higher than say here since the seller (if they're smart) has to account for ebay final value fees and paypal fees.

On a side note, I'm a little shocked at what folks are paying for used TS55 kit - more than new in some cases - must be international buyers because I can't imagine anyone in their right mind spending that kind of money when they can get the shipping for free from any of the online vendors.
