Hi all, been lurking awhile and learnt alot from reading everyone's comments and advice.  Earlier in the year I bought a Senco Fusion F15 nailer and used it to fix three rooms worth of skirting and then it sat in its bag till the weekend when i needed to put up a rather badly put together garden shed.  put fresh charged battery and a strip of senco brads in the magazine.  Used the gun 4 times and put back in bag went to use it again it refused to switch on..... The lights come on bright blink lower and then go out.  nothing doing its dead..... Yes I have read the manual, changed the battery, cleared magazine checked for jams, nothing.  Called UK dealer to be told sorry cannot help u as its a US import send it back to the States and by the way it sounds like a board has blown.

Amazing 3 hours maximum use one battery recharge and its dead.

Any idea if this is a user fixable problem or did i really waste my money and best I chuck it and buy a dewalt?

Many thanks

I had problems with the Dewalt.  It lasted me a year of heavy use and failed.  It was a flywheel related problem. Plus the Dewalt is very heavy.  I just recently bought a 16ga Paslode Cordless to replace the one I've had for 8-9 years of heavy use.  For me the Paslode is the best choice.  They have been making cordless nailers for 20 years,  that's a lot of time to get them right.

Weight is an issue as I am constantly on the move from job to job.  And reliability is of course important too.

So I now really regret buying the Senco from a US retailer.  I will check the warranty carefully before I buy any tools again outside the UK even from an international company that seem to not stand behind their products internationally!

Such a shame as when it worked it was really good.

My Senco Fusion has been a trooper - love it. That said, tools like this I'll always pay the premium for a local purchase as they're prone to expensive failure if something goes wrong.

Sadly I can only say the O/S buy is a gamble that didn't pay off this time.
