Anyone looking for a small portable, quiet and good build quality compressor should look at this Senco PC1010.

I have posted more about it in the Bostitch nail gun thread, so I wont repeat it here.

Bought from Warren at Bunny's Bolts

Great service, nice bloke and I would highly recommend this small compressor

looked at this compressor before, but what do you use it for? how about the refill time?

thnks rick

Hi Rick

From initial start up (filling compressor) to fully load is 40 seconds, thereafter when in use it takes about 15 seconds.

I use it with 23g, 18g and 16g

Hope that helps

Guy,

Now I understand why  you said you were having problems with your RO90.

I think you may have overlooked just a very tiny thing. The RO90  is an electrically powered tool and not air powerered. Hope that helps. So if you try and plug it into the Senco it wont work [poke] [popcorn] [popcorn]

You must have a different motor for the UK version.
I have the senco 1010 and it takes a LOT longer than 40 sec. to fill up.And the recovery is also very long.
I now use the roll air jc 10.A little heavier but very quick.

While I will rarely use my 15ga finish nailer with mine, I love working my 18ga brad nailer and my 23ga Grex Pin nailer with this little, quiet unit from Senco. Brice Burrell told me about this model, and I went out to my local store to try it out. Won't compete with larger models, but it wasn't meant to. Just works well in its class with no complaints from me. [cool]

UK 240V and I think you are 120V, no idea if that makes a difference. I saw Dave Reinhold's review of the Rolair but cannot find them in the UK but found some good reviews on the PC1010.

If I have to carry a compressor around the jobsite for pinning trim and mouldings and I have a choice between busting my nuts with a large compressor or carrying the Senco I will pick the Senco.

A step down convertor capable of 500 watts should be sufficient for the 240v to 120v change.

I got the Bostich RC 10 and it sounds like a jumbo jet taking off...... [sad] My four year old burst into tears when he heard it the first time. Great compressor just noisy as hell.
