Is anyone using these guides with the Incra T-tracks. I am interested in what length T-tracks are you using if so. I am trying to decide what length track would be most useful. I am presenting leaning towards the 36", but want to see what others have to say first.

I have them and initially bought 48" track, then went to 36" and am much happier.  I think 24" would also be a good length, plus easier to move around, which is why I am probably going to cut the 48" in half.

I haven't been using them long but I went with 18" figuring most of the time I would be cutting 24" rips or less. And it keeps them small so they aren't overly cumbersome.

in any case get your incra track @ incrementaltools.com best prices out there , that is the Incra store front web site
I have the 36" 24" 18" track for my Seneca PG's

I've not used my track saw a lot (only got it mid November), but found the 24" to be a pretty decent length to start with.  I'll add a set of 18" once my credit card cools off from the Christmas madness!

I'm surprised Slappy did not mention how many Woodperckers rulers he owns, since he was responsible for me seeing the light, and trying to keep up with him on purchases. They work great, with the add-on stop, for precisely setting the stop on the Incra T-Track. I do not even use the built-in scales on the T-Track since they can slide a bit, and using the Woodpecker ruler is so much easier.

I bought the 36", then 12", then 600mm rulers, since I use Imperial at times, and metric at others, depending on the job.  I suppose I'll round out these with their Imperial or metric counterparts at some point.

i bought the ones made by RMW and like them, they are similar.
i bought long incra tracks and then cut them down for two sets- one for cuts up to 18" wide or so, and the other set longer.
the ones for 18" only hang off the rail by a foot or so, which is extremely beneficial for handling rails, esp the 10 foot one.
for wider repeat cuts, i convert to the longer tracks.
mostly making shelving type things so he 18" capacity covers majority of my work.

Thanks for the input guys!

I think that the 24's will work for me. The crazy thing is that the cost of the rails is about $23, but shipping so far at the places I have checked including Incra's site is over $14.....YIKES on that one. I am going to check locally and see if the Woodcraft has them in stock today. If not, then I guess I will need to find something else to buy to help justify the shipping.
Sounds like good logic to me  [eek]

I already checked Amazon Prime and they want $18.75 per rail and no shipping, or $11.50 with shipping.

Amazon $37.50 for $23 worth of goods
Incra $37.01 for $23 worth of goods
Woodcraft if in stock will be #24.90 (I will call them today)

In my recent experience Woodcraft has always been cheaper than Amazon for the Incra t-track.

For example:  36" t-track
Amazon: $21.65
Woodcraft: $14.99

In my case, I have free 2-day shipping from Amazon and both places charge me sales tax.

Well, I found 2 at the Woodcraft here in town and will be driving by on Friday, so they are holding them for me.

Thanks for the response and opinions. As always it's good to get others input.

I actually found mine at Woodcraft, and the price was either the same as from internet suppliers, or maybe slightly less.  Not sure if they had old pricing, since they looked like they may have been there awhile.  The cardboard sleeves were a little worn.  I need to go back now and see if they have a pair of 18" ones.

I used the 24" so I would be good up to 30" cuts (I think actually 33, but 30 was the goal).  Got mine at Amazon, was the cheapest by quite a bit at the time.

Best Incra track strategy I came up with is to buy a single 48" at amazon or Woodcraft and cut it in half.  Then, order extra scales of your likig at incremental tools - the scales are $2 each and if you buy just scales, shipping is only $3.50.  I bought some extra scales.

Jerry -- great idea!  I do not use the scales, so I might as well get a 36" track and cut in half to get my 18" tracks.
