Well guys, as of Christmas morning 2015 I am a man engaged to be married to my wonderful, beautiful, crazy talented and smart, loving girlfriend and best friend. Ever since that morning it's been Pinterest all day every day with her sister  (maid of honor). I love looking over at her and seeing her happy and excited for the next "cute" idea, especially all the DIY ones.

I will be hard at work ensuring many, and quite possibly the majority, of these ideas come to fruition. By the look of things there's going to be a lot of woodworking for this wedding and I'm honestly overjoyed for it.

Being that so many of you are excellent builders and woodworkers I was wondering, did any of you have to put your tools to work for your weddings?

P.S. I'm hoping to get some green and blue in this thing somewhere  [big grin]

Congratulations! I got married before I got into woodworking so none for me.

Congrats and best wishes on a long and happy life together!!!!!

What you need to do while she is busy picking out colors, dresses, cakes, flowers, church, reception meal, decorations, ................ you get the idea, is to convince her to get a gift registry set up at your local Festool Dealer. Make a long and complete list of all the tools you would need to build your bride a new nest and anything else you may need over the years. Tell her it is the one thing you would like in all the planning for the upcoming wedding. Good luck!

Some how I got to help with our youngest daughters "dream" items for her wedding. Was fun figuring out ho to drill 36 of these volutes.

They were hung off this trellis.
