Most hard woods here I buy from a local mill. They allow the customers to hand select every piece we buy. The wood leaves the kiln and if it hasn't warped or twisted by that point, it really won't. And the wood I buy is so straight, I'd never consider buying twisted. The walnut there is soo expensive as it comes from ohio. Most the maple and others are local. But their wood is never twisted or cupped really, they shelve really nice stuff. I really didn't know this wasn't the norm, I apologize for my ignorance.
