Hello,

Have any of you ordered from acetoolonline?  I did a quick shipping price comparison at Amazon.com and they seem to have the lowest shipping to Hawaii.  (Amazon offers free shipping to Hawaii but have a limited choice on Festool.)  I'd like to get some feedback before ordering anything from them.  I've purchased most of my Festool at the local Woodcraft, but they are out of stock on items I'd like to purchase before the price increase on March 1.  (Also, they charge 15% more on all Festool accessories.)  Actually, I have the money now.  Thanks.

Yes, Tom is the man!  [thumbs up]

Fast service, good communication, and the items come as quick as USPS can deliver them.

I have bought several items and parts from Acetoolonline and they always are well packed and make it through to Canada, no problem

I have used Ace for almost every Festool purchase I have ever made and never an issue.

Gentlemen, thanks for the responses.  I did not realize that some dealers will ship no charge to Hawaii.  I guess it does pay to ask.

That does not sound correct -- all Festool pricing should be the same regardless of where you buy.  If they are charging more for something I would question it or shop elsewhere.

Actually, I was not aware of Festool's policy.  I guess Hawaii is an exception.  Also, I was not aware of this very helpful Festool community until recently.  I have bought all of my Festool stuff (saw, table, router, sander, jigsaw, vac, accessories) at the local Woodcraft since 2003 or so.  At that time they even charged extra for the tools, now they "only" charge extra for the accessories.  On the plus side they helped me out when I dropped my ATF55.  They are out of a couple of power tools and accesories that I want so I'm going to go to try the internet route and take advantage of the savings.

Hi,

Can't tell you about Ace Tools shipping, but I have been to the store once. Nice place. Fairly small square footage but they use it all. Including the entire height of the walls  , about 12' high. Every bit of space is filled and everything is neat and well organised. They carry Werner ladders and there are several positioned around the store "on display" but they are clearly used to get stuff down.

I'm late to this dance, but though I haven't been to their store, I have met with and spoken to the owner - Maria many times over the years spoken, with Jason a few times and (if it matters) can vouch for them. The fact that Maria is pretty has nothing to do with it. ;) Good Company; good people.

Bob,
If that's your story, then stick to it :) [poke]
