Shock Horror! Domino power pin sheared off.

Was going to give an excellent demonstration to a friend today of the domino, only for it not to turn on. A quick look about and I found that the gold pins that are on the domino side of the plug it, one of them had sheared off. A little more searching and I found it on the floor. Don't know how it can have snapped off but anyway.

Had a look on service site:

And I think my part number is part 5 on that diagram.

Can any of the festool employees confirm that, and can someone tell me how you order parts, just via your dealer or online somewhere?

How old is it ?  Same thing happened on my TS55, i sent it back for free repair.  You could probably have it back just as quickly as getting the part yourself & no risk of voiding the warranty by doing it yourself.

Got it Christmas 09 so its less than 2 years old.

How do you go through the warrrenty, is there a direct place or do you do it through your local dealer?

I'm in the UK but found it on the UK site after that so thanks.

My domino is actual a US model (bought on holiday) and I use it in the UK with a festool 110v plug it cord. Do you think this would effect a warranty claim? I registered for the 1+2 warranty when I bought it.

I phoned TTS.  Don't have the number to hand but i think you can get it off the Festool UK website.  Very helpfull.  E-mailed me a page to fill in, serial numbers ect then i faxed it back.  Collected, fixed & back to me within 6 days.  Quite good considering i am at the top of the country.

I can get you the number if you cant find it.
